Yes, you read the title right. There are plenty of good reasons why you should eat meat. Including meat in moderation in your diet nourishes your body with essential nutrients that cannot be obtained from plant products. So, what are these top reasons?

1. Protein

Protein is best taken from meat. Red or otherwise, meats are high on proteins that have biological value. While red meat does contain more fat than white meat, it does pack in essential nutrition and is beneficial for the body when eaten in moderate amounts. Strong lean muscles and healthy hormones are obtained from proteins.

2. Balanced diet

Unless meat is included as a part of what you eat, your diet is never balanced. Besides providing proteins for the healthy functioning of your body, meat provides energy for routine activities.
