It is summertime and that time of the year when all the short dresses come out and layers go back inside. It is also the season of crop tops, tank tops, cut-offs and most importantly bikinis. None of us want to go around the beach or the streets parading out flab and neither are we comfortable when people stare at out flab and make rude and lewd comments about it. It is not only about looking good in a bikini but is also about being fit for the season as you can get sick and also dehydrated pretty quickly in the summer. If you have been putting off the working out for a long time but need to get back into shape quickly for the beach holiday, here are a few tips to get a bikini body ready quickly.

1. Do strength exercises

There is no way but to get down and exercise those muscles. Especially areas that you are prone to put on weight more quickly. Squats, push ups, rows and lunges are exercises that involve more than one muscle and these are the exercises you must e doing you want to get your body ready for a bikini. Remember that there is no gain without pain and you will have to exert yourself to get that body.

2. Drink a lot of water

There is a popular myth going around that drinking a lot of water causes your body to retain water and bloat up. Nothing can be farther from the truth. Drinking a lot of water not only keeps you hydrated and gives your skin a healthy glow, but also helps keep your weight in check and also your appetite under control. Drink as much water as you possibly can.

3. Add a lot of natural diuretics to your diet

These foods help the fluids travel down faster through your body and help you de-bloat. Cucumbers, asparagus, lemon, green tea, and any foods with a higher concentration of magnesium, potassium, vitamin C, and/or caffeine are some of the natural diuretics.

4. Concentrate on your butt and stomach muscles

These are not only the areas that will be most prominently seen but also areas where you are more likely to put on weight more easily. Also these are the areas where it is most difficult to shed the weight. Do core exercises that would help you reduce the flab in these areas.

5. Cut back on fatty, salty, carbohydrate heavy foods

These are the foods that you will have to cut down immediately if you are serious about getting that bikini body. These foods not only make you fat, but also make you eat a lot and make you weak. You just eat a lot of no good foods that do not do much for muscle development. Eat healthy proteins and vegetables and fruits to keep you fit during the summer months.

6. Cut down on the alcohol

Guzzling down chilled beer in summer does sound heavenly, but stay off beer and other alcoholic drinks if you are worried about your tummy and other areas the bikini would not hide.

Getting a bikini ready body is serious work and also a lot of hard work. Work out, eat right and drink loads of water to get the right body shape and fit into gorgeous bikinis.
